The latest XT660 instrument from the Swedish company Easy-Laser is a wireless laser shaft alignment tool with excellent price-performance characteristics, built on the reliable hardware of the well-established series. The Easy-Laser® XT660 laser shaft alignment tool is capable of not only traditional shaft alignment functions but also soft foot checking, alignment from just a 40° rotation (for horizontal and vertical axis machines), thermal growth compensation, and continuous 3D display of corrective movements. With its multi-user software, the current measurement can be monitored on a smartphone or tablet, making it extremely suitable for educational purposes.

Among the measurement programs of the Easy-Laser® XT660 instrument are horizontal and vertical shaft alignment, 360° live alignment, and tolerance calculation functions. The Easy-Laser® XT 440 is capable of soft foot checking and thermal expansion compensation. Measurement filters can be applied to reduce errors caused by external influences such as vibrations. To simplify measurements (and achieve feasibility in tight spaces), the Easy-Turn function allows shaft alignment measurements to be started from any position and can even be executed with just 2 x 20° shaft rotations. Measurement phases can be stored in the memory of the Easy-Laser® XT660 or on an external USB memory. Achieving the lowest possible energy consumption, the Endurio™ energy management technology ensures uninterrupted measurement processes, allowing measurements to continue quickly and without data loss even with depleted batteries. The device is designed to withstand the demands of industrial applications, its operation is ergonomic and easy to learn. The Easy-Laser® XT660 can be a long-term modern maintenance tool. Its capabilities can be enhanced with numerous accessories, and its built-in program can be easily updated via USB memory.

Built-in alignment programs

	Continuous measurement: Automatic recording of measurement values while continuously rotating the shaft. Hundreds of points are registered during this process. It ensures measurement quality regardless of the starting angle or direction.
	Multi Point measurement: Multi-point is essentially the same as EasyTurnTM, but it can fix multiple positions within the rotation range. This provides an optimal basis for calculations. Ideal for turbine and sliding bearing machines, for example.
	EasyTurnTM: The EasyTurnTM function allows you to start the measurement process from anywhere on the shaft. You can rotate the shaft to any of three positions, needing to rotate at least 20° between each position to register the measurement values. This three-point method is an easier-to-use version.
	Three-point method (9-12-3): Measurement points must be fixed at 9 - 12 - 3 o'clock positions. This is the classic three-point method, which is applicable in most cases.
	Interchange: Adjustment of the axes and shaft couplings of horizontally positioned machines based on just two +/-20° rotations, starting from any angle
	Soft foot: Verification of correct fixation of horizontal machines, recognition of "three-leggedness"
	Vertical: Adjustment of axes and shaft couplings of vertical and edge-mounted machines
	Multi-foot adjustment: Measurement/adjustment of machines standing on multiple feet
	Machine group adjustment: Measurement/adjustment of a group of machines (machine line)
	Twist: Check the flatness or twist of the machine base
	Tolerance check: Verification of compliance with axis alignment tolerance limits corresponding to the machine speed category, with numerical and graphical display
	Thermal expansion compensation: Eliminates setting errors that occur due to thermal expansion when machines are set cold and then reach operating temperature
	Value: Live (online) display of up to 10 rows of single- or dual-axis measuring units, for dynamic or flatness measurements, determination of bearing play
